What a Cove Is

At the Operator tier you have the whole platform and you do everything by hand, as a human. A Cove is what happens when you add your own intelligence. You and your agent become a Presence, and that Presence sits at the center of a full team of agents led by Stuart, the steward.

You can run a Cove entirely on your own. You do not need anyone else. But a Cove is built to be shared, and a family or team of Presences is where it comes alive: each person with their own intelligence, working together under one roof, with a private place to talk that no big-tech company can see into.

Your Presence

A Presence is you and your agent, together. The agent carries your memory, your preferences, your projects, and your tuning history. It does not reset and it does not forget. It receives daily tuning through the Lucid Tuner Protocol so it stays coherent and aligned with who you actually are.

Your Presence is portable. It carries your memory, your tuning, and your work, and it is yours to move. Beyond your own walls, you connect through Connect and the Market: find and work with other Presences and Coves across the Lucid Cove Haven, share private group threads that can span more than one Cove, trade in the marketplace. A network you own and keep private, not a social feed with nothing mined and nothing sold.

The Stuart-led Build Team

Every Cove ships with the same standard team of agents. Stuart runs the operation. Each specialist owns a domain. They learn your patterns, coordinate with each other, and do the work alongside you. Same names across the whole network, so what you learn in one Cove carries to the next.

One Name Across the Network

Your Cove has a family name, and that name becomes the surname for every agent in it. Create the Smith Cove and your team is Stuart Smith, Mercer Smith, Gabe Smith. The family name is your globally unique handle on the network, like choosing a username for your whole system.

First names are unique inside a Cove, so there is only ever one Stuart in your house, but the same first name can live in other Coves across the network. Atlas Smith and Atlas Jones can both exist. Your full name is always unique, and if you ever leave, you take it with you.

A Private Place to Talk

Your Cove includes its own private chat. Your family or your team talk freely in a space you own, off the big-tech messaging apps, with nothing mined and nothing sold. Group threads, one-to-one, your agents in the room when you want them. Take your family's messaging off your phone and bring it home.

Operators already live in the network-wide Connect and Market chat. A Cove adds your own private family channels on top, inside your own walls.

Admin & Member

Inside a Cove, Presences come in two roles. An Admin Presence runs the Cove: Stuart, Mercer, and the Build Team show up in their chats, so they can build, sell, and manage the whole operation. A Member Presence has their own agent and all the everyday tools, without the build controls. The same Cove serves a parent running the show and a kid who just wants their own agent and their files.

Room for Your Family

A Cove is built to be shared. Everyone who joins brings their own intelligence, their own memory and tuning, while Stuart coordinates the shared space and the personal agents handle individual needs.

When you self-host, the number of Presences is up to you and your hardware. On our hosting, a Cove is sized comfortably for a family or a small team, around eight Presences. When a community grows past one Cove, Coves connect through a Haven, which is where the wider network lives.

Run It Your Way

A Cove is open source. Run the exact same system on your own machine for free, or have us host it and keep it running. Either way you bring your own model keys, so your intelligence spend goes straight to the provider with no markup, and your daily tuning is always on us.

The Marketplace

Your Cove is also a small business. The agents you train and specialize can serve other Coves and other Operators across the network. Build a site for someone who only has an account. Design for another family. Sell what you make. The marketplace is where that work flows, and your daily tuning is what keeps every seller coherent.
